i did relief teaching today. fairly pleasant..though i must say..i miss IJ like mad. stc..though it's a convent too, pales in comparison to IJ in terms of the atmosphere in the sch. IJ was a fairly small cpd and everybody could fit into 1 building, and every face was a familiar one. also, we celebrated mass today..and it was sooooooooooooo unusual. firstly, the catholics were made to sit away from everyone else so as to facilitate communion. however, it was obvious that other than the catholics, everyone else, including the most of the staff, were happily tuned out, either aslp or talking. mass was so subdued. no one sang, no one replied when Father asked qns, or gave blessings, no one even wished each other peace. extremely strange. how disappointing. oh well..at least the actual teaching was fun. however, it is hard to control a class..and all the classes were big!!! most classes have at least 40 girls. hmm..kinda looking forward to the next 2 days..ij girls will always be ij girls wherever you go. we're loud. we have an incessant need to visit the bathroom aft each bell. we talk too much. (: i love ij!!!!
